Meet & Greet

The introductions have continued into February for little Grant with the arrival of Aunt Emily. As an added bonus, BaBa made a return visit so she could see her three favorite grandsons. She jokingly claimed she didn't care about seeing Emily. Although, we all know that isn't really true...or is it?!BaBa continued her mission to spoil Grant rotten by once again refusing to put him down for 4 straight days. Needless to say, the poor kid wasn't terribly happy when BaBa left and he discovered that treatment can't be the "norm" when he's one of three children. He's learning early that you have to wait your turn. Luckily, he's relatively patient. Note that I said "relatively."
Jaxon and Baylor were delighted that Aunt Emily arrived with gifts. She really does know the way to their hearts! While BaBa was holding/spoiling Grant, Aunt Emily was blasting rockets into outer space (and into trees) and playing a version of the game Bocce ball with boys. She was also reading books, sword fighting, and tackling pretty much any activity or idea that the boys threw out. So, yes, the boys were happy to see Aunt Emily!
While we've been enjoying unseasonably warm weather this winter, Aunt Emily must have brought the chilly NYC temps down South. We didn't let that alter our plans though and spent Saturday enjoying the sunshine on the beach.
Aunt Emily and her friend, Dave, spent the better part of the afternoon building a massive sand castle with the boys. It was sad to see their efforts washed away in a matter of minutes once the tide started to come in. I guess that's life!
As is always the case, the weekend went by way too quickly. We went from welcoming family to bidding them farewell in the blink of an eye. It's okay though. We know they'll be back!
