Disney Magic Part IV

Just a few more Disney pictures to share with you. There's nothing like beating a dead horse, ya' know? What I didn't mention before is that, this trip, we were able to take our time and wander through the park at a nice leisurely pace because Anh, Jax, and I are the proud owners of a Disney annual pass. So, we can enjoy all the Disney World parks as often as we'd like through January 2011, and you will get to enjoy the resulting pictures.

Aren't you just thrilled?!?! By the way, for those that are doing the math, the extra months are courtesy of a special promotion they're offering right now. Oh, and don't worry about Baylor. We won't be leaving him out of the future fun. He just doesn't need a ticket until he turns 3.

While exploring Adventureland, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean, and during the ride, Mike and Amy commented on the fact that they were happy to see Disney World had not caved to the feminists like Disneyland. I was confused until they explained that a scene we had just passed through featuring an angry man chasing his wife around in circles had been changed in California. On the west coast, the woman chases the man.

Anyway, once in Frontierland on Tom Sawyer's Island, it was nice to see Disney continued the politically incorrect theme by allowing children to play with firearms. I knew there was a reason I loved Disney World!

We ended the day with a show in front of the castle. Disney sure knows how to entertain on every level. I can't wait to go back again...and again...and again!

Disney Magic Part III

Now, on to the real fun...Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!!! I'm not sure who was looking forward to it more, me or the kids? So without further ado, allow me to introduce Katie as Major Flirt, Emily as a clown, Jax as Wolverine, and Jack as the modern day G.I. Joe. To call them precious just doesn't cut it. I will apologize in advance for the gazillion pictures that follow. Clearly, this insanely adorable crew sent me into a photographic frenzy.
The kids made me promise this was the last picture I'd take. I agreed it would be the last picture "at the hotel." I made no promises about my behavior once we arrived at the Magic Kingdom.
Clearly, I didn't follow the rules. We snapped a few more pictures while waiting on the monorail. Doesn't Jax look thrilled?

Finally at the park, the kids were delighted to take even more pictures, further delaying their trick-or-treating.

By this point, even I was certain I had captured the cuties from every possible angle and curtailed my paparazzi-type behavior.

Finally, trick-or-treating was underway!!! The candy flowed like water. By the end of the night, even Katie with her major sweet tooth had reached her candy limit. We were shocked to discover that she had one!Buzz wasn't sure what to make of our two superheros. He seemed relieved to discover they weren't on a mission to destroy him.

Of course we had to make a pit stop at Jax's favorite ride, Autotopia. Won't he be sad to learn that it's being closed for renovations in November. When it reopens, it will feature characters from the movie Cars. The new attraction should easily earn Jax's stamp of approval and make up for the fact that he had to do without driving for a bit.

I have to admit that the kids impressed me with their daredevil spirits. Jack was a little hesitant at first, but made it on to some of the scariest rides in the park without issue. Even Jax was able to enjoy the rush of the larger roller coasters. Thanks to a growth spurt since last Christmas, he easily met the height requirements. Watch out, Disney! You've got an adrenaline junkie on your hands.

Now, you may have noticed that a certain someone is missing from the family photos. Anh & I went back & forth on whether to bring Baylor. In the end, we decided he was too little to really enjoy a late night at Disney. The only point I actually regretted our decision was when we met Tigger, Baylor's absolute favorite character. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

Even our two superheros were a bit weary by the end of the night. Thank goodness we sprung for transportation. Superheros are not light!

By 11:30 we were done, literally and figuratively. The night was everything we'd hoped for, a good time with great friends and endless amounts of candy. I'm already looking forward to next year!

Speaking of the lagoon pool...
